Shameless Politicians

The recent lathicharge of students who were protesting peacefully against reservations is real BAD. Have any politicians been lathicharged for any good cause except for some few exceptional cases. In a democratic country which talks about secularism, freedom of speech  human rights have been abused and all in the name of vote bank. We dont deserve a permanent seat in the UN untill we change our attitude towards human life and rights.

Heroes Amongst Us

Inspiration always comes from some individuals who do extraordinary things like Vikram Batra from the Kargil War or MK Gandhi etcetera. But when it comes from persons whom we meet and work with daily, it gives me a sense of pride and makes me humble. One such remarkable person is Om Nagpal who works with me at Verizon.  He has an attitude of  a typical rustic villager. Born in some village near Srikaranpur, Rajasthan to a parents who are very poor and illiterate. He owes his success to his parents who had the foresight that their 4 sons and 1 daughter should never be like them and today all of them are post graduates and well settled. Om has super stories about his transformation right from his primary school days till he passed out of  REC Bhopal. Imagine a person who never knew how to converse in English until he reached the portals of REC.  He has an extraordinary sense of humour and its always fun to work with this amazing character. For Me He Is A Real Life Hero

Lok Paritran

LP contesting in 7 constituencies in TN, could have done a better job in campaigning because there are people still unaware of its orgin, goals and presence. I ended up explaining couple of eligible students about LP. I am not sure why their visibility among students is not good enough. Its important cos students in turn influence their family. Morever they should have aligned themselves to an organization like CRY and work on their demands. (Check my previous post). The demands are basic and hits the bulls eye. This election i would be giving LP my support. Its tough for LP to win cos political heavyweights influence people by giving them what they require TODAY in addition to what they are going to give TOMORROW.

Hoping people give their support for a political organization which has some great minds, zeal and enthusiasm
